Hope Santa brings me these techie toys that I want and need, respectively… I may be in the naughty list though…
A spanking 160 GB SSD to overhaul my equally kick-ass ThinkPad
I need an office suite. I have created a couple of docs that were made from Office 2010, and I don’t have any other option to edit them but from MSO 2010 as well.

Woah! It’s been a year and I have not posted any in my blog that is technically significant. Anyways, it seems to have been only yesterday since I last posted on Singapore Grand Prix and here I am posting now on the latest race. This year’s race rocks!
We were seated at the Bay Grandstand. Supposedly one of the slowest stretches of the track, but nevertheless, the F1 cars zoomed by.
A pic taken by my brother, an old Ferrari. If I am not mistaken, the winning model where Kimi and Ferrari were champions back in 2007.
Michael Schumacher. In his grey and silver Mercedes car, but still wearing his Ferrari Crimson-red livery Helmet (no more Marlboro logo for him though)
The view of the Marina Bay street circuit at night.
Oh yeah, I am a fanboi. ThinkPad!
Night lights at the Singapore CBD, as seen from the giant screen
Alonso, waiving…
Car number 8. Fernando Alonso
Wonder boy Seb Vettel
I-love-to-hate-this-maclaren-boy Hamilton
Start of the race. ALO on P1
In-car Video, ALO leading, on lap 25
This double-shunt is just right below our seats

Windows Vista and Windows 7 users beware. I have installed an NDAS driver from Ximeta to enable my network drive over my home LAN. Though it used to work perfectly on my old WinXP machines, the driver screws the newer Windozes big time. By big time, i mean BSOD. O yeah, BSOD occurs in Win7 too. And since it was in a messed up state, there’s no way to uninstall the offending driver, manually or automatically. Luckily, there’s system restore. Just clicked my way into a pre-install state bliss.
On a side note: Chrome browser is not for me. It just doesn’t meet my need. This browser just keeps on timing me out of any secure site. It’s fast alright, even its timers.

After few months that I have reset my domain and blog. My old blog got banned somehow in Google SERPs. Probably due to numerous spam links, obviously, a result of my own negligence.
Now that I have a new Blog URL, and has actively patrolled by comments for spams, my domain’s back on top of Google SERP when googling my name. Cool!

I am now a former employee of Barclays. Barclays Global Investors that is. Why former? It’s because BGI has been acquired by my new employer, BlackRock. Almost two years with BGI has left me good memories and tremendous growth. Here’s hoping the same with BlackRock. The same enthusiasm and positive outlook is now channeled to our new team at BlackRock.
Anyways, after few days after the official execution of the “divorce”, I saw this advertisement from CNN.com. Funny, but this is now reality. The world “Global” was BGI’s punchline, at least in name and in internal culture usage.
