About this blog
I am Richard Relos. Filipino by heritage, Singaporean by nationality. A software engineer, technologist, a ThinkPad fan (currently owning an X200), a Sun Certified Enterprise Architect and an Open Source / open standards advocate. I am presently working for an investment management company. I am pragmatic. I am meritocratic. I value excellence and integrity. I have eidetic memory. I am color-blind. I am ambidextrous. I am me.
Here’s a quick history of my early days of computing.
This blog is about my random thoughts and rants on I.T. life, industry trends, technology and politics at large, the Java platform, Linux and Free & Open Source Software.
Welcome to my tech blogsite.
What is Segovia?
Nueva Segovia was the name of the city where my family roots trace its origins. The once Spanish colonial city is now the municipality of Lal-lo. This blog’s name, Segovian Chronicles, is my implicit homage to my hometown and to my motherland.
