blog hiatus, yet again
Aug 3rd
It’s been several months (weeks?) now since I last posted an entry. I have so many ideas and note-worthy things in my mind. However, there seems to be no urge in letting it flow through my keyboards. I guess losing the top rank for the my name’s search result in google contributed a bit in me having no interest in posting. Or maybe, I’m just to busy at work that all my technical energy are channeled through it alone.
I am renewing my domain in few weeks time. I am now thinking twice whether I’d like to continue my hosting or park my content somewhere.
I am also quite disappointed that somebody from China has registered rrelos.com. I have checked this domain last April and it was still available. I guess a domain name derived from my full name would not be business savvy. But hey, somebody booked the name. I was planning to register this myself in the future. What on earth are they going to do with this domain, it’s not chinese sounding, it’s not even “businessly”.
O well, life goes on, this is a blog post isn’t it!?

I am thinking of decommissioning my other blog. I’d propably split up the content to this blog and to my familiy’s blog. I am thinking of taking it down because I have neglected it for more than a year now and it has just been a catch-basket of comment spam. But first, I’ll upgrade my family blog’s wordpress.
Blogging Holiday
Dec 18th

I had my fair share of thinkering with Adobe Acrobat and my PPC and now, I am ready to head home. Finally, I was able to reflow non-tagged PDF. At least I can read them now in my PPC’s tiny screen.
My family and I will be going home to the Philippines for our annual Christmas vacation. I am not bringing my laptop along, so now J2EEs and IDEs for me up there north of the equator. Then again, I have downloaded two interesting RedBooks from IBM to keep my reading pleasure alive on lull times. I have downloaded Patterns: Service-Oriented Architecture and Web Services and Patterns: SOA Foundation – Business Process Management Scenario. Seems to be interesting reads as there are one of the recommended readings for IBM’s Certification 665. But no, I am not going for it, at least in the near future. I’ll just be reading these while in our sojourn to satisfy the geek in me. OK now, time to close my last techblog for the year. Until then…
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I wanted to emphasize my connection and affinity with Singapore vertical silicon valley. Hence, my tech blog’s former header background image consisted (albeit, prominently) of the tops of the five towers of suntec.

Singapore bloggers get charged
ChannelNewsAsia is reporting that for the first time in at least 10 years Singapore has invoked the sedition act and charged two local bloggers for posting racist comments on an online forum. From the article: ‘Said Singaporean blogger Benjamin Lee (Mr Miyagi):” A lot of them will be looking at their blogs and wondering if they made any legally seditious remarks. I think because of the way this will be played up, it’s negative publicity for the Singapore blogging community.”‘
This kinda gives me the creeps. Being a Singapore permanent resident, I’d better review my blogs twice and see to it that there are no seditious or racist remarks. Good or bad, governments from different countries are now considering internet content as possible tools for such state crimes.

Found this blog on the net.
Hmm…, let me see. Is this what I want? Most of my readers are referring to blog*spot. So it’ll be better if my WP-based blog just aggregate feeds from my Blogger blogs.
