Technical yet un-technical – a bed-frame review
Jun 13th
From the view of an IT practitioner…
‘bought a new metal bed frame from www.beds.sg few weeks ago. We got the Arizona model, a single-bed formfactor. Choosing this model brings the best value for money. Though relatively one of the affordable frames, it does fare well against its more expensive counterparts. Here are the pros and cons of this frame:
Pros
- good clearance from the floor, hence, some place for extra stowage
- conservative design – fits well with the overall room look-and-feel
- sturdy – not squeaky as normally expected from small metal frames. It is stable
- light and portable – it is a no brainer to dismantle and transfer over to another place. It is light as well. So you won’t need muscleman to do it for you.
Cons
- Little headboard – for those who likes to lie down elevated for a good night’s read. The headboard is relatively reduced if you use a thick mattress.
To sum it all up, it is good-looking, light, and sturdy platform to sleep on. No hurting back so far
Beds aside, our bed-online shopping experience with beds.sg has been very convenient. With the rate of digitization of one’s life, purchasing a bed through the Internet, beds.sg, that is, is a big convenience over braving the humid roads of Singapore and be at a store, onsite. With experiences with ebay, amazon, beds.sg is nothing different, it’s just simply convenient, buying beds in Singapore. You see, just scroll, choose, point-and-click…
gov.ph may not have been QAed
Mar 14th
Look at here. gov.ph links to a White House site. Thinking that you may have clicked the Philippine Presidents link, you inadvertently go to Gerald Ford’s bio. What a sorry state for an official web site.
Here’s how I found about it:
- went to gov.ph
- clicked for OFWs and OFs
- clicked Flag and Anthem from the sidebar
- clicked Philippine Presidents from the links presented below
… and whoala! President Ford was one of Philippine’s presidents…
Whoever the webmaster was, the guy named Gerald forgot to remove his name as the domain name for the link. Here’s the link:
http://gerald/_projects/gov.ph/ver3/www/aboutphil/presidents.asp
All the links are from the “gerald” server. Try the link yourself and you’ll definitely land in www.whitehouse.gov.
Hello Malacanang!? Does anyone know the meaning of the term QA?
Embarassing!
I already wrote them about this. Just in case they’re quick to fix this and you want to see the “real” thing, I have cached the page at this site: govph
